Counselling Dublin, Grief is what we experience when we lose someone close to us. Grief and bereavement counselling by Dave Harris of Counselling & Psychotherapy Dublin, Ireland
Grief is what we experience when we lose someone close to us. We all experience loss in different ways; everyone's loss is personal to them. Learning to live without a loved one is hard. It can be really difficult to make sense of the loss. Grief can bring waves of emotions that can be confusing and painful at times.

Shock is usually the first reaction to the death. This can be followed by an overwhelming sadness combined with lack of energy and exhaustion. Anger towards the person who died or anger at how they may have died can lead to feelings of guilt. Coping with the stages of grief, and the emotional pain that comes with it, can leave the person feeling stuck. They can feel trapped in there grief and find it hard to move forward. Healing from the loss involves identifying and expressing the feelings of sorrow, hurt, anger and loneliness. Working through this process will lead to a place of healing and acceptance
